I think I might nab your idea of the one photo a day, I might not post them up, but I'll try it anyway - see if I can be more inspired with seeing these ideas 8D

Yes! Photo-a-day will keep you shooting. And occasionally you'll get a shot that makes you say 'ooh'. It forces you to come up with ideas for shots, even on days when you really can't be bothered. Which is good practice =] Start an idea-book if you haven't already! Good luck, be sure to post up the best ones
